Directions
Volcano House is located on the Big Island of Hawaii. From Hilo: 40 minutes
southwest on Highway 11; from Kailua Kona: 96 miles southeast on Highway
11. Entrance fee for Hawaii Volcanoes National Park (a seven-day permit)
is $10.00 per vehicle or $5.00 for bicyclist, motorcyclist or hiker.

Distance from Hilo International Airport to Volcano House: 30 miles
Drive Time: Approximately 40 minutesDirection: Airport Access Road to first signal which is a junction with
Highway 11; turn left onto Hwy 11; drive up Hwy 11 for 27 miles and locate
the 28 mile-marker, then drive a half mile to the entrance of Hawaii Volcanoes
National Park. Volcano House is located just across street from Kilauea
Visitor Center.Transportation:

· The Hele-On city bus departs the Hilo downtown terminal at 2:40
P.M., arriving at the Park at 3:45 P.M. The bus leaves for Hilo at
8:10 A.M. from the Kilauea Visitor Center across the street,
arriving in Hilo at 9:20 A.M. The cost is $2.25 one way.
